So just a quick note about our shipment. All 13 boxes arrived. Everything works or is in good shape except for some mold-- I wonder where it all has been sitting for 3 and 1/2 months. Anyway, featured to the right is a star appropriately made in China which was given to us at our Nathan Clifford going away party. We promised that we would try to bring it to all the new places we go. It graces our entry way for the first time tonight. It does feel a good piece of Americana.

Our shipment sails in
So just a quick note about our shipment. All 13 boxes arrived. Everything works or is in good shape except for some mold-- I wonder where it all has been sitting for 3 and 1/2 months. ReplyDeleteHectic mayhem here -- the kind that makes you long for a mental health day (or week). So very, very glad I'll be on sabbatical next year. How long until May?
I was trekking across campus the other day wishing I could give you a call (and it wasn't even a science question for Victor). Sadly, I don't think my cell phone can call China. However, I bet my regular phone can. Do you guys have a phone # and how far behind/ahead are you in terms of schedule? (I realize you may not want to post your ph on your blog, so maybe send it off list?).
